Main Protagonist
We decided that Armani would be suitable due to the fact we could easily adapt her look, which was essential as she needed to look like a character from an urban drama. Also when we did the vampire scenes, the makeup we did showed up very clearly on her skin colour. For our audience to understand our plot, it was important that our makeup was very clear and well done.
Though the main characters are usually black men we subverted this in our promotional package by making our protagonist a female. Our protagonist does however does portray a lot of these themes in our teaser trailer, for example the struggle that she is going through, the things she is forced to do due to fact she is struggling etc. It was also very important that she blended into the environment and looked as though she was raised there.
