Conventions of a Horror Poster
Red is a very effective colour in this poster as is juxtaposes the white of the bath and innocence in the bath tub. Red means danger of the creatures.
From looking at a range of differnt sub genres of Horror posters it is clear that there is an over riding pattern of the colours white, black and red. When reading into the connotations of these colours we can clearly see what effect they would have in our poster. To relate it to our trailer and the meaning of our film white will display innocence and purity of our main character at the begining of our trailer. Black will display the the darkness she soon becomes supporting the codes and conventions of a horror. Finally red will relate to the overiding motif of our package blood or BLUD.
