Promotional Posters
Our chosen Genre is a hybrid of all three samples shown below; Slither a horror, Laisse-Moi Entrer a stylish vampire movie and Attack the Block a Si-fi urban drama. All three poster have elements in which we would like to incorporate in our package.
Silther poster is very effective and eye catching as it includes a female in a bath tub from a high angle shot. We would like to include this in our poster as the bath tab is a main part of our trailer and we could use the motif of the bath tub to tie togther the poster and the trailer. The colour red is also a very effect element of the poster as is connotes horror and blood. Since our trailer involved of blood and is called Blud we would like to incoporate the colour red.
Similar to this film our trailer is focused on a young girl who is a vampire. The attention is brought to her by her face taking up the majority of the poster with the vampire hint of blood dripping from her mouth. We would like to replicate this by having the main character the focus of the poster, using an close up shot of her face.
Finally Attack the Block - the film our hybrid film is based upon. We like how in the trailer urban and sci-fi meet. We would like to take inspiration from this by including some urban elements like a block of flats and mise en scene of the characters costume like a track suite.
We hope that our final poster will incorporate all three aspects of the posters above.
