- The Dawn of The Dead website portrays the theme of some kind of scientific experiment or contagious through various elements on the page such as the typography and colour schemes used. Specifically, the 'enter site' button is animated and has a distorted, scientific effect which evokes a clear sense of fear and speculation about entering the site. Equally, it becomes a point of interest and the viewer becomes intrigued to find out more about the film and details about it.
- The immediate introduction to the decreasing population clarifies how imminent the threat of zombie takeover is. This interests the viewer because they want to understand what has caused this. This could perhaps apply to our website because we have adopted a similar theme of vampirism and the threat it poses against the healthy, human population. Because of the minority of vampires (there is only one in our trailer) we could count the population of vampires, and focus on this rather than the population of humans.
- The narrative in the background starting "Everybody is dead ..." is highly effective because it identifies the desolating effects of the zombie disease. I think that we too could use a narrative and considering we already have used a narrative voice in our trailer, I believe we could use this again and play it once as someone visits our website. This would create a distinct link between our trailer and our website and it will also allow for a clear understanding of the urban and supernatural themes in our film.
