Blumhouse productions
is famous for having the ability to develop films under a low budget
and making them gross dramatically in box office sales. For example,
they developed 'Paranormal Activity' on a budget of $15,000 and made
over $82 million; this is relevant to our film production because
they will be able to work with us on a restricted budget.
Specifically, Blumhouse Productions specialises in the development of
horror movies such as 'Insidious' and 'Sinister.' However,
considering that our group wishes to develop a thriller / urban-drama
(hybrid) film, I feel that this production company may lack the
resources and knowledge to develop an effective hybrid genre film
such as ours.
Revolver
Entertainment UK:

Revolver entertainment is a US based company which expanded their
film production services into England in 1997. Originally
synthesising films on a small budget, this company has become renown
for creating low budget films. With regards to our own teaser
trailer, we plan to make a film of an urban drama based genre.
Coincidently, Revolver entertainment has become famous for creating
various successful urban dramas including 'Anuvahood', 'Kidulthood'
and 'Adulthood.' This is key for our own film developments because
this company has already developed successful and will be able to
assist us. Furthermore, 'Anuvahood' is a hybrid genre of a comedy and
an urban-drama which demonstrates Revolver's ability to produce a
successful hybrid genre film. Consequently, I feel that Revolver
Entertainment UK will be the most relevant production company for our
teaser trailer.
