Deconstruction of Kidulthood Trailer

Camera Angles & Movement
There is a chronological montage which combines a variety of shots to show the fast pace and excitement of the full film. Some of the most effective shots include;
The low angle shot is very effective in capturing the main characters being violent whilst stomping out another character we would like to use this camera shot to show the violence in our trailer. The camera shots them selves are quire basic and not very creative but this adds to the social realist element of the urban drama.

Sound
The non-diegetic soundtrack is an urban grime track. The music does relate to to theme of the movie and trailer because it is set in an urban location in London and it does contribute to pace and rhythm of the trailer. However the track itself is a remix of a classical piece which somehow is parallel and contrapuntal to the aggressive shots. For our trailer we would like to include a juxtaposition of slow and mellow music with a shot of violence as it is really effective and creative. We would also like to include grime and urban music to set the the urban theme.

Mise en Scene
The mise en scene of the trailer supports the theme and codes and conventions of an urban drama. The mise en scene involves tracksuits, weapons, and at the location of flat estates. Drugs are also included in the trailer as this is a major part of the story, we would like to involve tracksuits in our trailer as it would support the stereotype of our main character.

Editing
The style of the trailer is a montage which includes many shots of the film. The editing in the trailer is fast pace and correlates with the soundtrack. The editing is jumped cut which connotes acceleration and excitement of the movie. in post production it looks like a grey filter has been added to contribute to the urban and grimeyness of the movie. we are inspired by the typography  and text of the trailer.
