Film Name Ideas
We want our film to be a hybrid of an urban drama and horror therefore finding a film title that relates to both genres will be difficult. So we took the decision to go on to yahoo and look for potential horror titles.
From this post we noticed that film names of three words is quite effective. However we also noticed that to have a film title with multiple words the words have to relate to the narrative of the film. Okay, so the narrative of our film is about a working class girl who is involved in grime - however the tough conditions turn her 'crazy' resulting in her turning into vampire. Potential ideas could be
'Turning Mad' 'Hard Conditions'.
However we didn't feel that these titles were as effective as they could be. So we decided to chose a title with one word.
We realised that blood is a central motif of our trailer so why not call it blood. However we decided to call it 'Blud'. The spelling of it relates to the urban drama side of our movie and how blud is usually spelt when used by people of that culture. Blood obviously relates to the vampire genre aswell as vampires suck peoples blood. So all in all we thought that 'blud' is an appropriate and effective film title.
